The Elevator The manifesto What to expect

A network that
thinks of you.

I started The Elevator because I wanted to spend more time with people building a life as thoughtfully as they build a business. People with a company, and an interesting life outside it.

The Elevator is a small, personally curated network for independent entrepreneurs. It's a low-noise, high-signal place to get to know one another, share what we’re noticing, and help each other see what might come next.

We grow through people.

A conversation can change what you think is possible, and someone a few steps ahead makes an unfamiliar decision feel manageable.

I think these relationships become more valuable as AI changes the way we work. Answers are getting easier to find, and yet understanding what an answer means for your company and the life you want still takes context, and context is personal.

That context comes from knowing people. What they’re trying. Where they’re stuck. What they’re quietly becoming interested in.

A good community should
be thinking of you.

It remembers what you’re working toward. It notices a useful idea, a person you should meet, an opportunity you might have missed. It gives you somewhere to ask a basic question and be a beginner again.

My work advising founders keeps me close to the changes inside companies. My interest in investing keeps me asking where time and capital might go next. The Elevator brings those questions into a wider conversation about how we want to live.

What to expect

The Elevator is a small network personally tended by David. You share what you’re working toward, and he helps you connect with people and ideas that could move it forward.

  1. 01

    Begin with an introduction.

Bring a question, an introduction you’re looking for, a role you’re hiring for, or something you’d like feedback on. David helps make the ask clear and looks for a useful person, idea, or next step.

  2. 02

    Featuring You

Through interviews and curated newsletters; we feature selected member projects, asks, and curations with the community.

There’s no posting schedule to maintain. You can ask for help, offer it, and update David when your priorities change.

Going up,
David
